After surgery
A post-operative appointment will be arranged 5-10 days following your surgery and will be given to you at time of booking for surgery (and/or prior to discharge after surgery). Your dressings should remain intact until your post-operative appointment, unless otherwise instructed. At your appointment, your dressings will be changed, your wounds will be checked, and any outstanding histopathology reports will be available and discussed with you.
If you stay in hospital overnight, you will usually connect with a breast care nurse who will provide further support and information.
